Cemetery and Graveyard

Here you will find our cemetery regulations, list of cemetery fees and forms for funeral directors to use. Please email the clerk or call 01386 430393 with any queries. The office number will divert to the clerk's mobile.

Mickleton Cemetery is located at St Lawrence’s Church, Church Lane, Mickleton, GL55 6RZ.

As the churchyard is now closed for further burials, the parish council are responsible, by law, for upkeep and maintenance.

A memorial safety check has taken place in the cemetery.

If you notice that a family memorial has a safety warning sign attached, please contact the clerk.

For this purpose, a parishioner/resident is defined as follows:

  • A person who has lived within the parish of Mickleton immediately prior to their death.
  • A person who was a resident of the parish of Mickleton immediately prior to becoming a resident in a hospital or institution, home for the elderly or the chronically sick.
  • A person who had previously lived in the parish of Mickleton for no less than 50 years.
  • In the case of a child/student the parents must live in the parish of Mickleton.

The above fees were proposed and ratified at a meeting of Mickleton Parish Council on 31 August 2022 under Section 15 of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977.
