Planning Update from Mickleton Parish Council – Action needed

A lot has happened since our public meeting on 23rd July where we discussed the outline planning application from Brookworth Homes for 120 houses on land north-east of Mickleton (Application number:  25/01621/OUT).

• The CDC Planning Decision will be made at a meeting at 2pm on 10^th September.
• Village residents contributed almost 150 comments to object, with just under 10 in favour, and a few general.  This is an outstanding response.
• A temporary (6 month) Tree Preservation Order (TPO) has been placed on the trees either side of Canada Way.  If residents wish this TPO to be extended (or not) beyond February 2026 they should write or email before 16^th September 2025 to……….

• We are aware of 3 other applications which have not yet been officially posted on the CDC planning web site.  The Parish Council intends to host a further public meeting to address concerns relating to these 3.  A date and location for this meeting are being developed.
• Residents have formed an action group to focus on all development in Mickleton being ‘appropriate’.  Mickleton Against Inappropriate Development (or MAID) is open to all residents who wish to get involved in safeguarding Mickleton from unrestrained urban sprawl.  Details can be found on:  https://mickletonaid.co.uk/
