IMPORTANT: PARISH COUNCILLORS STILL NEEDED
ARE YOU LOOKING TO GIVE BACK TO THE PARISH YOU LIVE IN? Are you passionate about planning, do you savour the space at Mickleton Cemetery, does the financial side fascinate you or do you strive to be sporty on the tennis courts? A parish councillor role could be for you!

Despite a plea to fill parish councillor seats over the past four years, Mickleton Parish Council still has vacancies for these vital roles.
Mickleton Parish Council has eleven councillor seats which must be filled by members of the electorate to ensure it is able to perform its statutory duties as well as other activities.
There have been governmental changes which have seen four outline planning applications submitted to Cotswold District Council in recent months, and councillors have been working on these in addition to the checks they carry out with regard to the community speed camera/defibrillators/play areas/burial grounds/closed churchyard, all while carrying out their financial obligations… and much more!
We think you will agree that the carol service was a huge success and raised money for charity, but without a full cohort of councillors this is all more of a challenge.
There are now SIX vacant parish councillor seats, so, regrettably, the council has more vacancies than councillors.
If you have been thinking about being a councillor, please see the website for more information on what the parish council does: About the Council – Mickleton Parish Council, or contact the clerk/one of the councillors for more information.
