Cotswold District Council Local Plan consultation extended

The deadline for making representations on the Cotswold District Local Plan 2026-2043 has been extended by four weeks and will now close at 11.59pm on 3 November 2026.

CDC has published some additional information to support the consultation, including:

• all approximately 3,000 individual responses received during the previous Regulation 18 consultation, held between November 2025 and January 2026
• some additional evidence documents including an assessment of sports hall provision, a review of established employment sites, and further transport evidence

The consultation has been extended to give everyone more time to review this additional information and consider whether it affects any representation they have already made, or would still like to make.

If you have already submitted a representation, you do not need to submit it again. However, you now have until 3 November if you would like to make any further comments.

The extension will not affect CDC’s current timetable for submitting the Local Plan to the Planning Inspectorate by the end of December. All representations received during the Regulation 19 consultation will be shared with the Planning Inspector as part of the examination process.

Please note that representations and the names of respondents may be published as part of the examination process.

All representations received during the consultation period will be forwarded to the Planning Inspector together with the Council’s responses. A copy of the Local Plan consultation privacy notice is available on the Council’s website.
