New hedge
A new hedge has been planted at the rear of the Junior Playing Field, off Back Lane, and the Oak Grange development.
Published: 15 November 2024
The hedge has been planted thanks to Mickleton Parish Council applying for a free tree pack from The Woodland Trust.
Downy birch, hawthorn, hazel and holly saplings were included in the pack.
The ground was prepared by a contractor and the new hedge planted, which forms part of Mickleton Parish Council’s commitment to biodiversity.
Mickleton Parish Council hopes that, in time, the new hedge will be a haven for wildlife.
As the saplings are small and have been protected by mulch, safety fencing has been erected to keep the saplings safe.
