Elaine Fuoco-Lang

Career: Elaine has worked in publishing since leaving university. She has run her own business for the past 20 years.

Local Interests: Elaine enjoys walking and exploring the local footpaths.

Hobbies: Elaine loves to read, and is addicted to second-hand bookshops.

In her spare time Elaine likes to knit, but her yarn stash is more impressive than her output.

Family: Elaine lives with her husband, and they are members of the National Trust. They enjoy visiting the properties, gardens and parklands nearby.

Reason I became the clerk to the parish council: Moving to Mickleton from a hamlet of five houses on Dartmoor was quite a big change, but Elaine has felt very welcome in the village and has made a number of friends. She loves to learn and wanted to be more involved in the local community.

Interesting fact: Elaine is half Italian – Fuoco means fire in Italian.
