Elaine Fuoco-Lang
Career: Elaine has worked in publishing since leaving university. She has run her own business for the past 16 years.
Local Interests: Elaine has recently acquired an allotment, and is looking forward to growing lots of vegetables and sunflowers.
Hobbies: Elaine is a member of the National Trust, and she enjoys visiting the properties, gardens and parklands nearby.
In her spare time Elaine likes to knit, but her yarn stash is more impressive than her output.
Family: Elaine lives with her husband, and they enjoy walking and exploring the local footpaths.
Reason I became the clerk to the parish council: Moving to Mickleton from a hamlet of five houses on Dartmoor was quite a big change, but Elaine has felt very welcome in the village and has made a number of friends. She loves to learn and wanted to be more involved in the local community.
Interesting fact: Elaine is half Italian – Fuoco means fire in Italian.
